How to Price Mobile Detailing Services

Price mobile detailing services by calculating your actual labor time, direct material costs, fuel and vehicle wear, payment processing, and a target profit margin — then set a per-job minimum that covers all of those.

The Components of a Detailing Job Price

  • Labor time — how many hours does this job actually take?
  • Direct chemical and supply costs per job
  • Transportation — fuel and vehicle wear to and from the site
  • Payment processing — 2.6–2.9% per transaction
  • Pro-rated overhead — insurance, equipment, software
  • Target profit margin

Pricing by Vehicle and Service Type

  • Compact car — Interior Refresh: 1–1.5 hours
  • Sedan — Interior Refresh: 1.5–2 hours
  • SUV/Truck — Interior Refresh: 2–3 hours
  • Complete Detail — Sedan: 3–4 hours
  • Complete Detail — SUV/Truck: 4–6 hours

Condition Adjustments

Moderate condition adds 20–40% to job time. Heavy condition requires a separate quote with a higher base and scope caveat.
